Giant & Fairy Tales

Originally exhibited The Turner Prize Exhibition, Tate Gallery, London, UK

October 1997 - January 1998

The work outlines two skeletons in dust; models of a 7ft adult male and 2ft female child, both of whom lived at the turn of the nineteenth century, were exhibited in ‘freak shows’, and whose bodies were sold and stolen respectively after death, ending up illegally in the Hunterian Museum, Royal College of Surgeons, London.

In accompanying hand-made books, the artist re-tells their individual stories.
