A Lifetime of Love

The work references the geometric forms of minimalism but consists entirely of unaltered, used blankets, collected while Borland studied in Belfast during the late 1980’s at the height of the Northern Irish Troubles. In contrast to works which incorporate shot holes, the blankets are damaged and worn through their use in the care and comfort of the body.
